For those of you who have no idea what’s Robocon, it’s an annual robotic competition where teams from different institutes of higher learning construct robots to complete certain tasks, and the team who manage to complete the tasks in the shortest time and scores the highest point wins the game.

This year, there will be 55 teams competing in Malaysia Domestic Game. The champion team will be representing Malaysia to the international game at Egypt.

Robocon 2006 Theme Song – With the Best of Them All

Some dreams are meant for dreaming

But mine was meant for more

There’s something about this feeling

That I’ve never felt before

It speaks to me of greatness

By the champions of Man

Then quietly it whispers

Saying I am one of them

So I will give my all

And I will reach the end

If you should see me fall

Be assured I’ll rise again

For I am not alone

On this weathered road to glory

So when you tell my story

Say that I stood tall

With the best of them all

I understand their passion

I recognize their name

It seems our revelation

Are one and the same

Then it dawns upon me

This is what it’s all about

May the best of us be greater

May the rest of us be proud

So I will give my all

And I will reach the end

If you should see me fall

Be assured I’ll rise again

For I am not alone

On this weathered road to glory

So when you tell my story

Say that I stood tall

With the best of them all

This will be my story

That I stood in glory

This will be my story

That I stood in glory

I will stand tall

With the best of them all…

Nothing much to update lately, guess life at home is just not as happening as uni’s.

Just wanna ask you guys, do I look like a soft person…? (nah, not those gay type la…)

ru hua

The reason I’m asking this is because I’ve been having problem with maids lately:

1) Back to grandma’s house, and the maid kept complaining things to me.

2) Went to uncle’s house, same thing happened.

3) This morning my ex-neighbor, who’s also working as a part time maid, also did the same thing.

I mean, if they have problem, shouldn’t it be more appropriate to confront the source of problem, instead of getting me into their problem? Am I some sort of “cushion”?

I do respect every single person around me, no matter what status they’re having, but does that mean that they can just manipulate me for their own advantage?

Well, I guess I’m just not the type who can hire maid to work for me in future… haha.

I’ve been busy traveling in between Johor and Singapore these few days to visit both my grandmas since I’m leaving to Japan soon.

Ya, I’m such an obedient grandson, hor…? :-P

Many things happened during these few weeks of holiday. Most of them are, well, not good ones… That’s one of the reason why I seldom choose to stay at home for too long.

Yet as we grow older, we come to know that this is part of our living process… Life is full of obstacles and it’s impossible that we can hide from them forever.

What more important is how we look at each of them and what we can learn from every obstacle we face.

Met one of my seniors who’s currently working at Singapore yesterday at City Square. Got to know some info on working in Singapore from him, and that makes me becoming more reluctant to continue master.

For years, people around me, especially relatives, have been “brain-washing” me, saying “go study higher and get better job in future”. Does that still apply in this generation? I doubt it…

It’s been a hard decision for me to choose whether to continue master or just come back to work after 6 months in Japan. Right now there’s nothing much I can do to ease the predicament. So I’ll just wait till the time comes…
