I guess it's only useful if you wanna climb the management level. It's the knowledge that we have from time to time that makes us outstanding from the rest. For example, supposed ur an engineer but you're good at something else other than engineering, doesn't need to have the cert for that, which makes u an asset cos ppl wll hv to depend on you for info rather than u depending on them. Doesn't matter you have master or not as long as you have good general knowlege and knows how to use it against your colleague.
